.... " Dear teams,

We hope you are as excited as we are for ECC. We think we have something special for you on the Thursday before the main-tournament. Here's the plan; we want to run it by you and make sure it sounds good to you before we run with it.

Daytime:
We have a set of fields in Seattle for Thursday afternoon. We'll start setting up around Noon, and we'll be scheduling 2 games for each of you from 1:30-5pm. This allows Furious to drive down comfortably, and it let's Goat/Clapham take later flights without missing games. You'll get a good couple of shorter games (we don't want to tire you too much, but we do want to get you good games against great international teams).

5-6:30: Break, early dinner, rest, and jump in the lake if it's warm (400 yards away)

Then, that night: A HUGE showcase.

8 teams, 10 mini-games of 15 minutes each on one great lighted field (A brand-new turf field with permanent Ultimate lining, special to Seattle). Very little time (~20 seconds) between points. Every point matters. We've brought in 400 people for showcase games before, on a week's notice....we are hoping to double that or more. In this format, they will get to see an entire mini-tournament played in just 3 action-packed hours!

Here is a proposed schedule:

6:30-7:00 pm: All teams warming up as fans pull in.

7:00: Game 1: [Women's] Underground v Riot
7:15: Game 2: Goat v Clapham
7:30: Game 3: Furious v Kie
7:45: Game 4: [Women's] Revolution v Underground
8:00: Game 5: Clapham v Furious
8:15: Game 6: Sockeye v Goat
8:30: Game 7: [Women's] Riot v Revolution
8:45: Game 8: Kie v Sockeye
9:00: Game 9: Women's Final
9:15: Game 10: Men's Final

We'll have top quality Observers, a well-organized event, and hopefully streaming video.
This could be an absolutely awesome event.

If this sounds good to you, you don't need to do anything other than polish your cleats and get excited. If you have any concerns, please let me know! We want this to be an excellent experience for you more than anyone. Specifically, we think it would be a good idea to try and give all of these teams a later start-time on Friday, so travel that night isn't as big of a problem.
